The Sanderson Sisters Finally Reunite For “Hocus Pocus 2”

In 1993, children worldwide witnessed the witchy magic of the Sanderson Sisters in Salem, Massachusetts. Mary’s enhanced sense of smell, Winifred’s electrokinesis, and Sarah’s luring voice spread fear in children’s hearts and made teens and adults watch “Hocus Pocus” avidly.

This was one of the classics that people wanted to see more of, and finally, Anne Fletcher is giving us what we have been waiting for. So, get ready for one of the most anticipated Halloween movies to finally make its return just in time for Halloween.

Spoiler Alert: In the first “Hocus Pocus” film, we saw the Sanderson Sisters turning into dust and their Spell Book opening its eye once again, warning the viewers that Winifred, Mary, and Sarah will be back. So, what will be the next adventure for the Sanderson sisters in “Hocus Pocus 2.” The scene opens with three high school girls discussing how they plan to celebrate their 16th birthday.

They visit a shop where the owner tells them, “You know, legend has it – it’s on the 16th birthday that a witch gets her powers.” The scene cuts to two girls sitting in a first and chanting over a candle. As their chant gets louder, the Spell Book opens its eye, and the ground begins to shake. Suddenly it splits, and the candle lights up.

“Lock up your children,” says Winifred’s voice. “Yes, Salem, we’re back!” At the end of the trailer, the Sanderson Sisters are standing in a carnival, where a man says, “Hey, it’s the Sanderson Sisters. I bet you are looking for the stage.” To which Winifred replies, “Always.” It’s been almost three decades since the Black Flame Candle was lit and the 17th-century witches were last resurrected.

Now, three high-school students are responsible for stopping the Sanderson Sisters from wreaking havoc on Salem before the All Hallow’s Eve dawn. Apart from Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy, and Bette Midler, other actors that start in this Anne Fletcher-directed movie include Tony Hale, Froyan Gutierrez, Lilia Buckingham, Belissa Escobedo, Whitney Peak, Hannah Waddingham, and Doug Jones.

The movie will be available starting on September 30 on Disney+. The original title of “Hocus Pocus 2” was Halloween House, but 11 writers and 8 years later, the movie became less scary and more kid-friendly.

The production started in Salem and then proceeded to Los Angeles’s sound stages. While fall was an excellent season for foliage, it didn’t do so well for decorations. “Hocus Pocus 2” is set to release this year, and its poster will send chilly excitement down your spine. The picture of the Sanderson Sisters with their elaborate hairdos in silhouettes is an amazing way to introduce the witches.

Moreover, since the movie will come out before Halloween, it will jog the spirit of trick-or-treating. Are you excited for the long-awaited and anticipated comeback of the Sanderson sisters? We are sure this movie will meet your and your children’s expectations to get you excited for the Halloween season.
